I was havin a pretty crappy day so far, until just now. On my way back from class, I saw this chinese kid trying to climb a 6-foot fence to get around a construction area.....dude's foot got caught and he fell flat on his face. Boy, did that bring some sunshine to my day!

While watching Game 2 of Yanks-Dbacks series (Randy Johnson was pitching), I saw a hilarious sign held by an Arizona fan. It read as follows:

"It takes more than 9 Yanks to beat our Johnson."

Think about that one for a while. Brilliant.

Random comment: HEY JEN :)

Well PSU won today in an upset against Ohio State, 29-27.....it was a great game, they really had some big plays, got some breaks...they came back from 18 points behind too. And to cap it off Joe Paterno became the all-time winningest coach with his 324th career victory.....this was probably the most exciting win in my 3 years here at psu. And now, some pics...

some folks take football a little too seriously....

..like these guys. There's no need to be shirtless in 30-degree weather....but I do give that dude props for the Hannibal costume.

Former PA governor and current homeland security chief Tom Ridge enjoyed the game (and a few beers) in our new luxury boxes.

The worst part about PSU football games....having to stand.

JoePa was honored after the game and addressed the crowd...I'll admit it was a little emotional, but very cool to be a part of history.

I did a new cd review, check it out!

I'm worth $2,204,770.00. What about you?

Wednesday, October 24, 2001
You've gotta read this.

Ok I've got my own Mike-style update....I usually don't remember my dreams but for some reason I remembered this one when I woke up this morning. In the dream, I got a pack of 1988 Topps Baseball cards. Some of the cards in the pack included:

Dave Winfield in a Padres uniform
Derek Jeter as the 1999 World Series MVP
The NY Giants 1986 Super Bowl Champions (they were undefeated)
A two-sided card of the Pink Panther and Huckleberry Hound
The 1988 NY Rangers team roster
My friend Mark as a 12 year old, along with two other unknown kids, all three giving the middle finger.

Weird eh?

Ok here they are, my first batch of digital cam pics, taken from my birthday weekend...

Jen planned a surprise party with a few of my friends.....thanks babe!

These young ladies also surprised me.

You should have seen the look on my face when they surprised me...it was probably something like this.

These kids were there too....check out Mark's face, he looks so excited to be there.

Tom, my cousin Sean, and bro Jord also took part in the festivities.

Karen, Meg, and Sean gave me this dope sweater they got at the dollar store.

They also got some other cool presents at the dollar store, like this GI Joe Juice that I wanted...

...and this turkey baster. I'll cherish it always.

The best present came from Jen though, this digital camera, hence the pictures youre looking at right now

My dad gave me this Homer cereal that he stole from the mail at work....I'm not gonna eat it though, its probably anthrax-infested.

My parents got me Britney Spears...in calendar form.

They also gave me this cool thing they got from a vendor in NYC, its supposed to be Metallica...its awesome.

I got this dvd courtesy of some Best Buy gift cards.

My dog Maggie even gave me a card.

Then I made Jen eat Maggie's crap.

My bro gave me a Yankees hat....and to cap off the weekend, they made it to the world series!

I even got an early Halloween present....

...thanks Jen!!

Then Jay Kliewe showed up with his Corvette.....and the weekend was complete.

Well those Damn Yankees have done it again.......theyre off to the World Series for the fourth year in a row, and I'm loving it. Who would have thought they'd do it again, after all the adversity to start the playoffs, and this season wasnt exactly that special, what with all Chuck Knoblauch's inability to throw the ball to first base, and alot of the guys struggled, some thought this just wasn't their year.

The A's were supposed to beat them. They were the young team, the sentimental favorite, the poster children for all the fans of those shitty teams who favor revenue sharing and want the big-spender teams, especially the yankees, to lose. Give me a break, too bad the A's dont have any fans and cant even sell out their stadium for a playoff game against the Yankees. But everyone wanted the A's to win, "oh the Yankees are done," they said, the A's are young and hungry, they were the hottest team entering the playoffs, they had the big man Jason Giambi, they like to have fun in the clubhouse, plus theyve got some great pitchers named after X-Files characters and Italian pasta. And after Oakland took games 1 and 2 everybody had the Yanks dead and buried. But look who won. And Giambi will probably be a Yankee anyway next year so I guess the joke's on them.

The Mariners were supposed to beat them. "They are the best team ever," some said, "they have the most wins in major league history, they even beat the Yankees record." Plus they have Bitchiro Suzuki, the Japanese version of Babe Ruth and Elvis and Michael Jordan all rolled into one. Too bad he didnt do shit in the series. But Lou Piniella guaranteed the series would go back to Seattle! Come on Lou, save the guarantees for NY icons like Namath and Messier....The Yankees embarrassed Seattle and made their 116 regular-season wins worth nothing.

And now its off to Arizona, to face those monsters Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling and............and.............? That's basically it. Some knuckleheads out there will probably pick the D-Backs to unseat the Yanks....but don't bet on it, especially after what happened in NY this year and everything, its enevitable....This one is destiny. Yankees in 5.

Send hate mail here. All the Yankee haters can bite me.

Well I have a test at 8 am tomorrow......I should probably start studying for that.

Monday, October 22, 2001
I had a great weekend at home....it was my 21st bday and probably the best I've had in a while.

Man I got soooo wasted.........no jk jk. There was a party with my family on saturday, little did I know that Jen planned for some of my friends to surprise me too...thanks to everyone that stopped by and thanks also for the presents.....I'll have some pics up soon, courtesy of my DIGITAL CAMERA, which I got on saturday.....THANKS JEN and thank you everyone for making my bday great...

Well, the terrorism scares have hit home yet again......my dad's been wearing his gasmask and gloves everyday at work whenever he comes close to the mail at dow jones......meanwhile, we havent gotten mail lately because the post offices in trenton, as well as the one two minutess from my house in good ol' hamilton, are infested with anthrax, basically. Meanwhile the FBI is investigating some suspicious activity in my hometown, like the neighborhood where my friend Mark lives, as well as a house like a minute from my high school.....there were some prescriptions given out at the local shop-rite for the anthrax antibiotic drug, and they traced it to a house that was basically empty except for two mattresses and a lawn mower, two guys of middle eastern descent had been living there and using a taxi to get around, and it turns out the taxi-cab company name on the car doesnt really exist.......its all pretty crazy, I really feel like I'm living in a movie, and maybe my smalltown home will become the center of international intrigue, who knows....

But for now, I'm gonna go watch the Yankees advance to the World Series and the Giants kick the Eagles' asses......

In the mean time, check out Jen's pics from this weekend.

And check out Ed's Fall '01 pics....theyre superb.

Thursday, October 18, 2001
I added a review for the new Ozzy album...please check it out!

Speaking of which, check out Ozzy guitarist Zakk Wylde's comments (courtesy of blabbermouth.net) about the Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl, who Ozzy consulted with for the new album....

If I ever run into Dave Grohl, I'm gonna kick his f.ckin' ass. Because I think he sucks, and he wrote this cheese-dick song for Ozzy that I have to f.ckin' play on, and I'll never forgive him for that. Foo Fighters is a f.ckin' candy-ass girl band, but you've got that motherf.cker submitting songs, and those douche bags from the Offspring submitting songs, too. I mean, none of these guys could play a Randy Rhoads solo if they tried. Dave Grohl? F.ck Dave Grohl! Let him get up there and play 'Mr. Crowley'; he can't f.ckin' do it. And it's like, you're getting this guy to write songs for OZZY? Just because he played drums for f.cking Sh.tvana?"

Hahahahah I'm not sure what song Dave Grohl wrote, hes not credited on anything, but Zakk never ceases to make me laugh.

I'm going home this weekend......I turn 21 on the 21st....ohhhh boyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Well I'm out....GO YANKEES.

Here's some interesting info.....the US Armed Forces are broadcasting radio messages to the Taliban, here's the transcript, check it out:

"Attention Taliban! You are condemned. Did you know that? The instant the terrorists you support took over our planes, you sentenced yourselves to death. The Armed Forces of the United States are here to seek justice for our dead. Highly trained soldiers are coming to shut down once and for all Osama bin Laden's ring of terrorism, and the Taliban that supports them and their actions.

"Our forces are armed with state of the art military equipment. What are you using, obsolete and ineffective weaponry? Our helicopters will rain fire down upon your camps before you detect them on your radar. Our bombs are so accurate we can drop them right through your windows. Our infantry is trained for any climate and terrain on earth. United States soldiers fire with superior marksmanship and are armed with superior weapons.

"You have only one choice ... Surrender now and we will give you a second chance. We will let you live. If you surrender no harm will come to you. When you decide to surrender, approach United States forces with your hands in the air. Sling your weapon across your back muzzle towards the ground. Remove your magazine and expel any rounds. Doing this is your only chance of survival."

cocky bastards aren't we? But it's all true....

Well looks like the "best team in baseball" didn't have what it takes to beat the Yanks in Game 1, in their own park. Ichiro looked more like a little Bitchiro....I know I know, it's only the first game, but we're one step closer....and I guess they really are the N'Sync of Baseball

Check out the Bleeding Ground Demo......these kids are really goin somewhere, I'm tellin ya!

The Slipknot / System of Down show got pushed back a week to Nov. 2....apparently the bands "needed some rest".......come on fellas, I need some rest too, but why do you have to go fouling everything up? It's all good though, looks like everyone can still make it.

Tuesday, October 16, 2001
YESSSS the Yankees (those "bastards") have done it again. The improbable comeback, after going down 2 games to 0 to start the series...wow what a great series, who knew they'd come this far. Hats off to the As though.......hahahahaha yeah right. But in true Yankee fashion its back to the League Championship Series to take on the dreaded Mariners, the so-called best team in baseball, maybe ever (who were lucky to beat the Indians, mind you).....the Yankee haters are most likely boiling right now but whatever, y'all cant stop us.

I got the new OZZY cd "Down to Earth" to review for the radio station, hopefully it's gonna be good, can't wait to give it a listen.

Looks like Mike's got a new site, check it out....

Jen put up pics from our weekend at PSU please give them a look, theyre awesome.

Tomorrow is Media Day for PSU Women's basketball (which I'm covering) so I better prepare myself mentally, gotta read up on the players and whatnot.....man I am excited for a long season of scintillating women's basketball, ohh yes.

Monday, October 15, 2001
A little music news, Wes Borland, guitarist for Limp Bizkit, has left the band. Yes!! He was the best thing about that band and now he's going to form a new band, without Fred Durst....he's gonna record an album with members of some side project band of his and produced by Ross Robinson.....he says its gonna be "for the fans" and hopefully it'll be more like the first Limp album, which was cool. Pretty exciting, I hope it's good.

A little anthrax news, with a local twist...I've heard reports that the anthrax letter sent to NBC anchor Tom Brokaw that the media said originated from "Trenton, NJ" was actually from HAMILTON, NJ, my hometown. That's right, I'm told the letter came from the US Post Office located on Route 130, like around the corner from my girlfriend's house and about 2 minutes away from me. We've got a theory that there's a terrorist base located somewhere in my area, based on this news and some previous happenings. Isn't this crazy? I'll keep you posted...

Also, because of all these anthrax scares, my dad (who supervises a mailroom at Dow Jones) has to wear gloves and a gas mask now at work. It's madness I tell you....

Sunday, October 14, 2001
Well Jen just went back home this afternoon.....we had a great weekend though. Let's see, we began with Jen sitting in on my radio show on Thursday night, she even got to speak on the air with us under the name "Charlotte the Harlot" in honor of the Iron Maiden song, it went pretty well. Then Friday we took a trip to Shippensburg University to visit our dear friend Karen aka Elk and her good pal Luke. The campus was pretty cool and we had a good time. Then on Friday we took a mini-tour of PSU and the surrounding area...I showed Jen my working conditions at the Daily Collegian office, and we took a tour of the Palmer Art Museum, which was lovely, and Jen even made a friend named Chicken-Head. Then we took a drive to find Mt. Nittany and explore the beauty of Happy Valley in the fall, it was pretty cool. Then later we tried to get our party on with Allison but that didn't work out....buuut all in all it was a great weekend. Jen will have some pics up soon I'm sure, she was busy with that digital camera as usual.

Just want to say happy birthday to my good friend Alan who turned the big 2-1 on Friday. He is getting his drink on as we speak, we agreed to party non-stop from his birthday on the 12th to mine on the 21st, which is next weekend. YESSSS.

In other news, I found out today that I am one of three beat writers for PSU Women's Basketball this year.....pretty cool eh? It's gonna be alot of work and media day is tomorrow....and you know I love my women's basketball. But it should be cool, not to mention a good opportunity.

The Yankees won today, which is good. After losting the first two games to the A's they have stormed back in true Yankee fashion and tied the series 2-2. They are gonna wrap it up tomorrow night when the series returns back to the Bronx....yes!

The Giants didn't fare as well though, they lost the the St. Louis Rams today 15-14 in a real heartbreaker. They had this game in their grasp, they roughed Kurt Warner up, I could just hear Fear Factory lyrics being sung as he was getting the crap beaten out of him by Michael Strahan, "where is your savior now?????", you know, cuz he's religious and all. We also knocked big Marshall Faulk out of the game.....mannnn we sooo should have won, I dont know how they let that one get away, stupid TRUNG CANIDATE, what a shitty name. Too many penalties, some more questionable than others, but we just had such a great performance that it should have been a win. They showed some fight, and if we happen to face the Rams later in the playoffs I guarantee they are goin down.

Today is the one-month anniversary of the attacks, in case you didn't already know. Round-the-clock air strikes are continuing in Afghanistan as part of "Operation Enduring Freedom" (I see they changed the name from its original moniker, Operation: Infinite Justice, probably cuz Bush read my site and saw that I made fun of it. Did I mention he's a big Jay's World fan?). Also ground troops are getting ready to deploy, basically special operations and stuff, you know like those Chuck Norris army movies, only real. The US had its first military casualty yesterday when an Air Force seargent was killed in an accident, meanwhile some Taliban spokesperson says 170 Afghan citizens are dead, but its not confirmed. All this while 3 cases of Anthrax (not the band) have been discovered in Florida. Pretty crazy stuff, at least there are other things to take my mind off it all...

....like for instance the Yankees, who lost to the Oakland A's yesterday 5-3 to open their postseason series. Not very good, it was a real important game...but then again, since 1996 the Yanks have opened 4 different playoff series with a loss, and went on to win all 4 of those, so its not the end of the world. Still, they didnt look too sharp for most of the game, and Roger Clemens had to leave by the 5th inning with some sort of ailment, either his groin or otherwise...not a good sign. They are back in action tonight and hopefully they'll even it up.

This morning for my Comm class, we were supposed to act out this stupid group skit depicting an oral culture. We had to meet last night to work it out, it was pretty gay but still decent, I was gonna play the leader of some hypothetical tribe.....anyway, we were all set to go, and I head to class this morning (which starts at 8 AM mind you) only to find that class has been cancelled, for like the 5th or 6th time this year...pretty whack! That class is really startin to get under my skin.

Well gotta go.......Jen will be here in about 4 hours.

Wednesday, October 10, 2001
Mike had some more weird dreams, check them out.

And check out the top 100 anti-teen pop websites, thanks Jen...I knew this whole loving pop music thing was just a front!

Jen is comin up tomorrow to visit for the weekend.....woohoo!! :)

Tuesday, October 09, 2001
Check it out, one of my articles got printed on Collegesoccer.com

In other news, I was watching TV at like 2:30 last night and I caught a classic episode of Scooby Doo on Cartoon Network that guest-starred Batman and Robin, the Joker, and the Penguin....man it was awesome. Speaking of which, does anybody remember an episode that guest-starred Kiss? I vaugely remember it, I just know it scared the crap out of me as a kid. You've got to admit that an animated Gene Simmons would give you nightmares too if you were like 4 or 5.

Anyway, here's some song recommendations to check out:

Biz Markie - Turn Tha Party Out
In Flames - Pinball Map
KoRn - Divine
Stylistics - Betcha By Golly, Wow
Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden (live)
Destruction - Thrash Till Death
Meshuggah - War
Fear Factory - Full Metal Contact
Collective Soul - Needs
AC/DC - Live Wire

Monday, October 08, 2001
Props to my girlfriend Jen for her new site....it's pretty awesome, looks like I've got some competition!!

Speaking of Jen, she's coming up to visit in three days!! It's gonna be cool, we're gonna go on some dates to the museum, the library, the HUB....it'll be great :)

So we are at war with the Taliban now, finally. We are basically just bombing them to the stone age right now...but there arent alot of details, except for like these crappy quality web-cam night vision pictures on CNN that look more like some kind of 1980 Pong arcade game. I wonder if the war against Bin Laden looks anything like this....

Anyway, we are not only bombing them with explosives, but also care packages. Yeah, we are dropping food and stuff for the Afghan refugees, and also leaflets about why they should revolt against the Taliban, and the cash reward for Bin Laden and stuff. I guess its basically to show our nice side as we bomb the living crap out of them.

In other news, I almost met the band Cold earlier. They are playin tonight at the Crowbar with Dope (who suck) and Lifer (formerly Strangers With Candy, they won that MTV battle of the bands thing a while back, ya heard). Anyway I saw their tour buses parked along College Ave. as I was goin to get my hearty dinner at McDonald's, since the commons and the HUB are closed. I probably saw some band members, but they could have been roadies, I don't think I'd know the difference really. I'd recognize the homo from Dope, and Scooter the lead singer of Cold, and some guy in Cold who has purple hair, but I didn't see any of those. I hung around for a while, I think they were practicing inside and if I waited long enough I'm sure I could have at least seen them, but it was gettin kinda....cold...out (pun intended). So I almost had a second brush with celebrity within a week. I think I'm gonna make a new section called Jay's Brushes With Celebrity to detail all the "famous" people I've come in contact with, not to brag or anything but just cuz they're all pretty funny stories, not to mention random.

Yeeah so its Fall Break here at Penn State but I'm still here in Happy Valley. I had to go to two soccer games this weekend, PSU won them both, and the head coach Barry Gorman broke the all-time Penn State coaching victories record, so I've gotta write some articles for the paper. Plus I wanted to go to the football game for some reason...which was well worth it. And I also have a bunch of school-related crap to do. For instance, I have to do an art history paper where I choose an art object and describe it....if anybody is familiar with some crappy painting called Adoration of the Shepherds by Tommaso Manzuoli, let me know right away. It's a late 1560s oil on canvas, if that helps.

It's pretty quiet up here, mostly everyone went home until classes resume on Wednesday, but its kinda cool, its like living in a ghost town. There's only like two other kids here on my floor...I feel like Jack Nicholson in The Shining, I'm probably gonna go insane and start chopping through the doors and stuff, and my art history paper is gonna consist of 20 pages of "All homework and no play makes Jay a dull boy.....All homework and no play makes Jay a dull boy...." Or maybe I'll just pass the time by riding around Ewing Hall on my Big-Wheel.

Saturday, October 06, 2001
Well just got back from the PSU football game....another damn loss, this time 20-0 at the hands of the Michigan Wolverines, one of our biggest rivals. Not too much to say....the defense played relatively well, I mean we held them a few times and it was only 6-0 for most of the first half, but they scored right before halftime to make it 13-0. We just cant put it together on offense...the freshman Zack Mills got the start and did well, the kid's got a pretty good future here but he's still got a while to go. Our recievers didn't help him, they dropped so many balls, and the offense had some crucial penalties that really hurt us. We're just not a good football team, and it's not looking any better for the future. Some highlights: A chipmunk that was runnin around on the field at halftime, a drunk girl sitting behind us who almost passed out on numerous occasions and also puked, and a crazy michigan fan who insisted on cursing and yelling at students, daring them to throw stuff at him. He got clocked with a bunch of sodas and then the police had to escort him out of the stadium, I think I got some cool pics of that with my camera. We are....Penn State.

Friday, October 05, 2001
Holy crap you'll never guess who I just saw.......Dikembe Mutombo!!!! That's right, the 7'2" African giant who plays for the Philly 76ers, they are currently in training camp here at PSU. Anyway I was comin back from the radio station, this was like 1:30 am, and as I passed all the various drunks along College Ave. I found myself behind a rather large black man surrounded by 4 white girls who were about half his size. Anyway I had to do a double take because damn the guy was huge. The girls seemed like they were tryin to get his attention, and I'm nearly beside them. The guy is dressed in like a denim jacket and one of those ski hat/doo-rag type things. And its just about that time when it dawns on me......dude, that guy is Dikembe Mutombo (full name: Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean Jacque Wamutombo)!!! I really didn't know what to do at this point, he was apparently comin out of Players Nightclub....then some drunk guys also figured out who he was and started yellin "Dikembe!!!" and "Good luck this year dude!!!" and some tried to come over and slap his hand and crap. But he was pretty intent on gettin outta there, now this is the funniest part, he was gettin into not a Lexus, not a Benz, not even a Porsche, but a silver minivan. Yeah that's right...and he didnt even have no driver, he was gettin in the driver's seat. Now I dunno if there were other people with him or what, maybe Allen Iverson was still in the club mackin' it or performing some of his rap tunes, or hell maybe Manute Bol was in the minivan waitin for Dikembe who knows? But I didn't stick around, he obviously wanted to get home to his wife and kids, he didn't even take any young drunk Penn State females home with him as far as I can tell...and he didn't seem too interested in answering any questions for a Daily Collegian exclusive so I just went about my business. But that, my friends, was my latest brush with celebrity. How cool was that?

Thursday, October 04, 2001
Hahaha check this out...Bin Laden Liquors, its this game you can play online, you try to kill Osama Bin Ladens without harming hostages that hes taken inside a convenience store, man its awesome, and it makes me feel alot better since we havent gone to war with him yet.
Special thanks to Jen for the heads up!!!

Here's a quote by some ex-military guy about what the upcoming US actions in Afghanistan are likely to be like:"We are going to disrupt these people through preemptive attack ... we will deceive them, we will run psyops on them, at selected points and times they will be killed suddenly, in significant numbers, and without warning."

"Tomahawk missiles, 2000 pound laser guided weapons dropped from B2's or F22's at very high altitude, remote control, booby traps, blackmail and at places, small groups of soldiers or SEALs will appear in total darkness, blow down the doors and kill them at close range with automatic weapons and hand grenades,"

"We will find their money and freeze it. We will arrest their front agents. We will operate against their recruiting and transportation functions. We will locate their training areas and surveil or mine them. We will isolate them from their families.

"We will try to dominate their communication function and alternately listen, jam or spoof it. We will make their couriers disappear. If we can find out how they eat, or play or receive rewards, or where they sleep -- we will go there and kill them by surprise."

Now thats what I'm talkin about.

In other news....i'm tryin to catch the new Ozzy video "Gets Me Through" on MTV or MTV2.....we'll theyre both playin the exact same DMX shiz at the same time. Give me a break. Anyway, check out Ozzy on Leno Friday Oct. 12th, and on Conan Oct. 19th.

God I love living in a dorm. There's nothing like trying to sleep while a bunch of morons are keeping you up. Like take for instance the fag who insists on playin techno music at 1 am so I can hear the same stupid repetitive beats comin out of his subwoofers and echoing through the walls. Or the fellas down the hall who are just yelling at the top of their lungs and carryin on, laughin it up over a big bouncy ball theyre playing with.....gettin drunk in the dorms on a wednesday night, man thats cool. And see the thing is, I'd look like the asshole if i went down there and complain that I was tryin to sleep to all these homos. But people just have no consideration for anyone else. Well my alarm is goin off in about 6 hours now so I'm gonna go lay in bed with the pillow over my head and fantasize about sleeping. Goodnight Ewing Hall.

Ok I was reading this article in the Collegian today, check it out...its about this crazy hippie dude named Fred Cyote, ive seen him walkin around State College a few times with a sign that says UFO Ride Wanted. Normally I'd just avoid him, but this article gives a little more info about him, like how hes travelling across the country in search of UFOs and he even has a website that chronicles his adventures (or should I say misadventures) as he crosses the US.
Oh and I forgot to mention, he lives in a psychedelic place in Oklahoma that he calls Akroma Vortex (it was visited by a UFO) and he travels with a handmade horse puppet named Jake. Oh and you gotta check out his buddy Zeke......

He seems like a pretty cool guy though, maybe if this whole Journalism thing doesnt work out I could just join him on his quest, and hey ive got some internet skills maybe I could be the webmaster for his site.

Random excerpt from a convo with Mike:

Mik0138: what were you thinkin in that pause you had right there "...summer class, lisa needs braces, summer class, lisa needs braces..."
JayBart2: and there was an image of your face as a hassidic jew circling around my head sayin "hoity toity"

don't ask.

Yeah so I just found out TODAY that I have to schedule for the Spring on SATURDAY. By my count that gives me 5 days to prepare. It's always such a pain in the ass, I can never get the classes I want...its basically going to be all Communication and Philosophy classes from here on out. And according to my calculations I'll have to take at least one, possibly two, semesters of 18 credits...which will blow big time. I wonder if I could somehow sneak back into high school and take a couple AP tests for credit....nah, some AP dorks would probably rat me out, or I'd just completely bomb the test and get like a 0. Maybe I'll just drop out of PSU and enroll in Wrightco Technologies, after all its the fast track to the future....I would have said Chubb Institute but I dont think I'm fat enough. Get it, get it?

Monday, October 01, 2001
Yeah well one football team was successful this weekend, the other was not. The Giants won their home opener over the New Orleans Saints 21-13 in a tough game.....they really were inspired and did just enough to come away with the win. Some high points were Ron Dayne finally living up to his potential, Michael Strahan dominating the Saint's Kyle Turley and all his gay tattoos, and my man Joe Jurevicius, especially the nice TD catch from Kerry Collins, yes the PSU connection is alive and well.

On the other hand, Penn State just got worse, falling to 0-3 after a 24-18 loss to Iowa. I only saw a little of the game on tv and heard just a bit on the radio (not that I missed much)_but apparently Zack Mills did a decent job at QB and the Lions actually showed some heart, they were down 21-5 at halftime. But still its going to be a long season, JoePa still only needs one win to tie the all-time coaching record but he may not even get it this year, there's a tough schedule ahead....they play Michigan next week at home, so its gonna be a real challenge, I dont know how exciting the game will be but I can at least look forward to some food fights in the stands.

You've gotta read this article about what some guy found in his fruit punch.....its pretty sick, yet funny.

Just got back to PSU this afternoon.....thanks to everyone (especially Jen) for a great weekend at home.

Check this out....just a rumor right now, actually its an idea that Dave Mustaine (lead singer of Megadeth) had......MEGADETH, METALLICA, PANTERA, and SLAYER on a US Tour in 2003.......now that would be a definite must-see.....god that'd be awesome. But then again everyone hates Dave Mustaine soooo I dunno if it'd happen or if all the egos could handle each other. But its cool to think about.
