Platypus922: by the way, you make a very pretty girl
Platypus922: is it software or just a web page jen used to make that pic Jaybart2: oh im not sure, you should ask her Jaybart2: but you know the female pic is real right Platypus922: huh? rno way its real Jaybart2: the one of the girl with long hair Jaybart2: thats not me Platypus922: yes it is Jaybart2: that is some random girl alan found on amihot.com Platypus922: noooooooo Jaybart2: YES! OK there's been some confusion about that picture of my "long lost sister".... This picture has not been doctored or altered in any way. It is a picture of a real girl that Alan found on the website amihot.com. I don't know who she is, but I'd like to meet her, because I think we could be related. Creepy as hell. This picture, of course, was altered through computer programs by Jen Zak. She replaced the girl's hair with my hair and added thicker eyebrows. This is just getting weirder..... My very first column ran in the Collegian today...it even included a (unaltered) picture of me. Platypus922: very flattering picture of you, by the way Platypus922: very cool--way to go Jaybart2: :) thank you, its my shining moment Platypus922: i'm so proud Platypus922: of my little jason Jaybart2: :) :) :) Platypus922: he's all grown Jaybart2: congrats......you just made my web page Platypus922: all my fantasies have come true in one glorious moment Jaybart2: haha im all about making fantasies come true Speaking of fantasies, don't forget about the upcoming MTV show, THE OSBOURNES, it airs next Tuesday at 10:30 p.m., mark your calendars!!! Also mark your calendars for the upcoming (and first ever) BLEEDING GROUND live show!! My good friends will be performing this Saturday at L'Amour in Brooklyn NYC, the "rock capital" of Brooklyn. My friends and I are heading to the show and I can't wait. Tickets are only $10 too, can't beat that. If you are interested in going contact me (jaybart2@aol.com) or the band (bleedingground@aol.com) The BG show should be the kickoff of a great spring break.....I'm going home tomorrow, then its 10 days of rest and relaxation...no work, other than a 5 page paper I have to write that's due when I get back. Jen is resuming her job as manager of Rita's Water Ice so I'm sure I'll be having more than my share of mistos by the week's end. Speaking of Jen, she's totally revamped her webpage (for about the 6,000th time) but it's awesome, check it out. Maybe this one will last longer than a month :) Finally, please don't forget to tune into my radio show tonight from 1 - 3 a.m. either on The Lion 90.7 fm or by internet. Damn that was long.....I'm going to go take a nap. Peace.
I just got back from a test, I have a paper to hand in for my next class, after that I have a mid-term......why do these teachers conspire to make everything due on the same day? I'm on the verge of madness here, Ozzy style.....the only thing keeping me sane is the thought of Spring Break and the following songs, check them out, they might help you cope too...
1. Kataklysm - "Manipulator of Souls" 2. Pissing Razors - "Burning Bridges" 3. Madball - "Nuestra Familia" 4. Tool - "No Quarter" (Led Zeppelin cover) 5. Black Label Society - "America the Beautiful" 6. Dr. Dre (f. Snoop Doggy Dogg) - "Let Me Ride" 7. Harry McClintock - "Big Rock Candy Mountain" (from the grammy-winning O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack) 8. Temple of the Dog - "Say Hello 2 Heaven" 9. Dimmu Borgir - "In Death's Embrace" 10. Everlast (f. the White Folx) - "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" Wednesday, February 27, 2002
Some music news.......congrats to TOOL for winning a Grammy tonight, "Best Metal Performance" for their track "Schism".....Great track, and a great album (Lateralus). Black Sabbath ("The Wizard"), Slipknot ("Left Behind"), System of a Down ("Chop Suey"), and Slayer ("Disciple") were also up for the award...so maybe those idiots actually have some sense of musical taste after all.
Just announced the preliminary lineup for Ozzfest UK.......Ozzy, System of a Down, Tool, Slayer, and Cradle of Filth........damn if they can only get that lineup for the U.S. version of the Ozzfest, I will be there for sure.
Mik0138: the quaker oats logo guy looks so child molestor ish, and little debbie looks like a young prosititute, i bet the cream of wheat brotha is her pimp, i bet the quaker oats guy would be soliciting sex from little debbie while the cream of wheat dude and uncle ben are smoking weed on the corner
JayBart2: hahaha are you ok? Mik0138: i just took a close look at the quaker oats guy Mik0138: and i just saw evil in his eyes Mik0138: and then i had a little debbie cup cake dealy and saw her face and she looked all jody fosterish from taxi driver Mik0138: i mean come on, uncle ben probably smokes mad endo JayBart2: no doubt JayBart2: dont even mention aunt jemimah, uncle ben is her sugar daddy Mik0138: hah, don't get me started It's good to get a little recognition every now and then... SoulBurn11: LOL!!!!!!! love the site :-) !!! Tuesday, February 26, 2002
RUalan80: doesnt that look like you with hair? JayBart2: hahahahah RUalan80: dont you think so? JayBart2: thanks for destroying my manhood RUalan80: haha, you're welcome, thats what i'm here for :-) Well, now that THAT's out of the way.....the pics from THON are finally up (thanks Jen)..... They had this dude outside of Rec Hall.........you know its a big-time event when one of these things are there. Pretty big crowd this year. This year's theme was "With All Our Hearts"......how cute. They had entertainment for the dancers on the big screens. The roof of Rec Hall looked pretty phat too.....so I figured I'd snap a shot. Check this out, Jen was honored for her excellent semester at Mercer County Community College last semester....not just Dean's List but PRESIDENT'S list......not bad, not bad. Congratulations are in order. From my friend Mike's upcoming journalism assignment, a story on cheating in college: "I don't really cheat," says Penn State junior Jason Bartolone, "every now and then I'll take a quick glimpse of a multiple choice answer or two from the person next to me, but that's child's play." No Mr. Bartolone, actually that is cheating. Most colleges identify six forms of cheating. Copying work, inappropriate collaboration on an assignment, the use of "cheat sheets," buying/selling exams, or term papers, the use of "ringers" (having another student take an exam or write a term paper), or submitting work that has already received credit in another course. Mik0138: hahah buuuuuusted!!! Monday, February 25, 2002
Have you heard about the Penn State pole vaulter who died this weekend? Pretty crazy, he fell on his head attempting a jump at the Big Ten Championships in Minnesota, with his parents sitting in the front row watching. That marks the eighth PSU student death since May......a golfer was killed in a car accident like 2 weeks ago, some other kid hung himself in jail, I think there was an overdose and a couple other accidents in there, not to mention Cindy Song whos been missing since Halloween......I think we are cursed.
Anyway on a lighter note, THON 2002 was held this weekend here at PSU (thats the annual Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon for those who dont know.) These dancers get pledges from people and dance for 48 hours straight (well not really, more like stand around for 48 hours) to raise money for childhood cancer foundations, its been an annual event since like 1973. You may have heard about a similar event at schools like Rutgers and North Carolina but those are just lousy copycats, we are the original, and it is also the largest student-run philanthropy event in the world. They raised over $3.6 million this year, their highest total yet....not bad, not bad. Its a pretty cool thing to witness, Jen and I went there for a little bit this weekend...I took a few digital pics, hopefully those will be posted soon. Jen and I also saw The Royal Tenenbaums this weekend (for free)....it was pretty odd, to say the least, but also had some pretty funny moments. Overall Id say it was interesting, some wacky and memorable characters....worth checking out, althought not exactly what youd expect. I think that was the point, though. I gave blood this weekend, for the first time ever......Jen convinced me to donate at a Red Cross blood drive. It went pretty well I guess, the nurse says I need to drink more water instead of soda because it took forever for my blood to squeeze out, but that could be a good thing though, at least Im not in danger of bleeding to death. It was pretty surreal at one point, layin on the table staring up at the lights with the black nurse talkin about how she wanted to go home, meanwhile Jethro Tulls Aqualung was playin on the radio as I got a little light-headed... But I survived, and I even got free pizza out of it.....so I suggest that everyone donates the next time the blood drive comes around. How about that USA vs. Canada hockey gold medal game on Sunday? Pretty crappy if you ask me......I was rooting for the USA this year hardcore, I really thought theyd pull it out. I watched the game down at the Collegian office, there were a bunch of crappy Flyers fans talkin shit about Mike Richter for some reason, ohh thats what you get for having a stupid RANGER in goal! and whatnot.....give me a break, he is the one you want in goal for a big game like that, and he was spectacular throughout the Olympics, those Canadian goals came on odd-man rushes, the last one was a breakaway, how can you blame Richter? Come on. Anyway, congrats to the Canadians though, Im not about to bash their whole country like alot of people, I mean they hadnt won in over 50 YEARS, Id say they were about due....plus they had a great team (not that the US wasnt half bad), so I got no problem with them winning it. But Ill tell you one thing.......USA IN 2006!!!!! Friday, February 22, 2002
This kid in my Comm class says he's studied handwriting analyzation, and he can figure all kinds of stuff out about someone by looking at their handwriting. So I gave him this little signature of mine and asked him to analyze me, and here's what he came up with... - My handwriting style signifies that I perfer to be anonymous or unknown - That open stroke on my "J" says that I'm open to relationships - Some of my strokes show that I can sometimes be prone to a sharp temper...which is true - The backwards stroke at the end signifies that there is "something in my past" that I keep holding on to or going back to. Hmmm....very interesting indeed. He suggested that to learn more about handwriting analysis, I consult my local library. Which I just might do... The big hockey matchup is tonight.........USA vs. Russia at 6:15 in a battle for hockey supremacy. It's going to be a great game, don't miss it. Wednesday, February 20, 2002
Anybody catch the big olympic hockey upset today, Belarus over Sweden? Pretty cool....a team with only ONE NHL player who were 10 million-to-1 odds to win a gold medal, beating arguably the hottest team in the olympics thus far. They say its one of the biggest upsets in sports history, and certainly the biggest hockey upset since USA over Russia in 1980....they may have won on a fluke goal off of Tommy Salo's head with just two minutes to go, but it was still pretty thrilling to see Belarus celebrating... Speaking of USA-Russia, that's the big hockey matchup on Friday.....a rematch exactly 22 years TO THE DAY since the Miracle on Ice of 1980. Oh baby....let's just say I've got olympic hockey fever. U-S-A!!! U-S-A!!! U-S-A!!!..... Some people never learn..... If this guy put as much effort into his pitching career as he does into abusing substances, he'd be one of the all-time greats. It's a damn shame. I've finally posted the post-Machine Head concert pic of me Matt and Al, check it out... I thought we were making weird faces....my bad. Monday, February 18, 2002
I had a pretty busy (but fun) weekend.......on Friday Jen and I celebrated Valentine's Day.....she surprised me with a (sort-of) candlelight dinner featuring my favorite, chicken parm. It was a great V-Day...thank you Jen.
We also entertained the Zak family (minus Mr. Zak, but plus Mrs. Zak's friend Sandy), who were up visiting Jen for the weekend.....here are some photo highlights... We showed Ryan and Erica what a college classroom is like... Then I showed Ryan what a college CLASS is like... Then Jen showed Ryan what it's like to have no class. Hah jk jk. Of course we took a visit to the Lion Shrine, its a rule. We also hit up the new Penn State Sports Museum, although we did not go inside. The gang at historic Old Main. Our dinner at Ruby Tuesday was excellent. PSU rules. Go to Jen's Website for some more cool pics..... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- More silliness with SmarterChild .... JeNiBaBe83: jay is hot SmarterChild: Sorry, I have no listings for the movie Wet Hot American Summer on Friday, February 15th near Jay, ME (04262). JeNiBaBe83: f*** you SmarterChild: Whoa. JeNiBaBe83: f*** SmarterChild: You were rude, you should apologize, it's that simple. JeNiBaBe83: f*** SmarterChild: Aren't you tired of this? Just say you're sorry and everything will be perfect again. JeNiBaBe83: f*** SmarterChild: Ooh... it's the big showdown between man and machine! I love this. Guess who wins? JeNiBaBe83: f*** SmarterChild: There comes a time in one's life when one must be humble and apologize. JeNiBaBe83: f*** SmarterChild: *sigh* This is getting us nowhere. Please say you're sorry, and we can get on with our lives. JeNiBaBe83: f*** --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally, whoever is the gutless punk who vandalized my bro's car and broke his windshield last night.....I'm coming for you. RUalan80: BIG NEWS for your website Jay...It has been reported that Mrs. Greene has allegedly gotten a tattoo on her upper right arm. I interviewed both Sean and Meghan Greene and they believe she may be lying even though Mr. Greene and the neigbors said she got one. Sean has told his mother that if she is lying that he's gonna take her to get a "tat"
RUalan80: The tattoo has been reported as a flower RUalan80: Mrs. Greene Kicks Ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JayBart2: so......a tattoo Ferboid: its true apparently! JayBart2: what is this insanity Ferboid: I DON"T KNOW! but its the funniest thing i've ever heard..EVER Did you hear about these bodies found at that crematory in Georgia? It's just creepy.... It's Black Sabbath's "Spiral Architect"...so good... Sorcerers of madness Selling me their time Child of god sitting in the sun Giving peace of mind Fictional seduction On a black snow sky Sadness kills the superman Even fathers cry Of all the things I value most of all I look inside myself and see My world and know that it is good You know that I should Superstitious century Didn't time go slow Separating sanity Watching children grow Synchronated undertaker Spiral skies Silver ships on plasmic oceans In disguise Of all the things I value most in life I see my memories and feel their warmth And know that they are good You know that I should Watching eyes of celluloid Tell you how to live Metaphoric motor-replay Give, give, give! Laughter kissing love Is showing me the way Spiral city architect I build, you pay Of all the things I value most of all I look upon my earth and feel the warmth And know that it is good
Big news, a body found at the mansion of former NJ Net Jayson Williams....check it out...
Oh and here's some Ozzy news.. Ozzy Osbourne's upcoming live album, entitled "Live At Budokan", will also feature several unreleased b-sides from the recording of his most recent album, "Down To Earth". The album was recorded live in Japan and will likely be released sometime this summer. Osbourne's upcoming MTV reality show, "The Osbournes", will premiere on MTV on March 05th.
Well the Valentine's Day edition of the Metal Machine went great last night, thanks to all who listened. Here is a rundown of some of the V-Day-related tunes I played last night..
Black Sabbath - Lady Evil Iced Earth - I Died For You Judas Priest - Love Bites Mercyful Fate - Lady in Black Metallica - Die, Die My Darling Dimmu Borgir - Metal Heart Halford - The One You Love to Hate Ozzy Osbourne - Goodbye to Romance Nothingface - American Love Type O Negative - My Girlfriend's Girlfriend Pantera - This Love Judas Priest - Prisoner of the Your Eyes Queensryche - I Don't Believe in Love It pretty much rocked. Funniest moment yesterday: I was sitting in class and some dude just wrecked his chair. We were in a classroom with like movie theater-style seats, and we were in the middle of an oral presentation....the dude wasnt really fat but he was pretty big, all the sudden his chair just collapsed with a huge noise and he ended up sitting on the floor.....everyone got real silent, no one laughed though, and the guy just said to the girl who was speaking, "just keep goin," all calm and stuff.....boy it was funny. And no it wasnt me, either. Thursday, February 14, 2002

All the New Jersey haters out there can read this and then kiss me squarely on the ass. The article is couresy of Meghan Greene.
Sorry about the lack of updates, Mike Antenucci style........well ok maybe not that long, but 4 days is a long time for me.
My girlfriend Jen surprised me yesterday by doing my laundry.......She is the greatest, it's like I have a mom away from home.......thanks Jen :) Guess who is the new softball beat writer for the Daily Collegian? Yeeeah that's right, I'll be pulling double duty for the next 2 months or so, women's bball plus softball with my boy Spruck......words cannot express my pure joy. If I see another Pizza Hut P'zone commercial my TV is goin out the window, no lie......remember when Tommy Davidson used to be funny on In Living Color? Now I just want to swing him around by those fake-ass braids and beat him against a wall. Thursday, February 07, 2002

Mik0138: and in satans chest you see their faces cause they sold their souls and now they live in damnation and hellfire
Pacden99: you sound like jim ross talkin about the undertaker I overheard some British guy telling a humorous antecdote about him and some drunk rugby friends of his at an Indian curry house....I can't really remember it all but it was pretty damn entertaining. Had to be there. Good news, well maybe good news...it looks like I'll be starting my radio show at 12 midnight tomorrow instead of 1 a.m.....so there's really no excuse for you to miss it. I'm still waiting for confirmation on this, but if its true, its going to be a night of Madman Overload.......stay tuned.... More songs for y'all.... 1. Rollins Band - "Liar" 2. Hall and Oates - "Private Eyes" 3. Opeth - "Harvest" 4. Entombed - "About to Die" 5. Joe Satriani - "Until We Meet Again" 6. Ozomatli - "Cut Chemist Suite" (f. Jurassic 5) 7. Iced Earth - "Ghosts of Freedom" 8. Cold - "Goodbye Cruel World" 9. Metal Church - "Metal Church" 10. Bob Seger - "We've Got Tonight" Gotta do my presentation tomorrow for my Comm 413W class....some business about pop culture and whatnot, I've been going to class for the past few weeks and I'm still not sure what it's about.. But the project is basically our only grade for the course, theres no tests or quizzes. Instead, my group of four other gals and I have to take up an entire class period tomorrow talking about MTV, since its representative of pop culture. My individual part is talking about the portrayal of men on MTV...I'm putting together a little video of some clips of Ludacris and Creed videos, and some flashy cars and mansions on MTV Cribs. Damn I just want to get this stupid thing over with..... college is rough yo. JayBart2: damn, rollerball is my early pick for best movie of 2002 Mik0138: if by best you mean laughably inane and stupid i'll agree with you Tuesday, February 05, 2002
WOW.....what a great concert last night, Machine Head at the Crowbar with Al and Matt....very entertaining, probably the best concert I've seen in a while. Third Strike and Darwin's Waiting Room opened it up and basically sucked....but Machine Head...wow. It was my first time seeing them, and I have to say I think I'm an even bigger MH fan now. Some of the highlights:
- their cover of Sepultura's "Territory" - Robb Flynn playing the opening riffs to Sabbath's "Into the Void" - "Davidian"....man the place was going nuts - Robb messing with the annoying-ass people yelling for them to play Slayer...("Slower? You want us to play slower?") The lowlights? How about the pain of waiting outside in the winter of State College, everything on me smelling like smoke afterwards, the aforementioned Slayer fans.....but overall it was most enjoyable. And what about that Super Bowl? Was that entertaining or what? Alright, my Superbowl Synopsis was a little bit off....but I don't really care, it was pretty damn enjoyable seeing the Pats win. Don't think I'm jumping on their bandwagon here, sure I wore my Drew Bledsoe shirt yesterday, but that was just for him, I've liked him since he was a rookie and I've had the shirt since '95. Don't worry, I haven't converted, I'm just glad they won....I love upsets, and that whole "coming out as a team and not being introduced individually" thing before the game really impressed me. And again, it's my "lesser of two evils" line of thought, I can't say I'm a big Rams supporter even though I thought they'd win. It was nice to see Warner getting knocked around....and here's a question for you, why did Marshall Faulk, the best player in the whole damn league, have only 17 carries? Makes no sense to me at all.....but congrats to the Pats, that was a superbowl to remember, and one that was actually more entertaining than the commercials for a change. I had a good weekend at home, other than watchin the game I just basically relaxed....went to the Olive Garden on Saturday with Jen and the rest of the Zak clan....is there a better meal than OG's Tour of Italy? I could eat that shit like every day....fo' real. I'll leave you with this puzzling e-mail I just got from Robert Lavelle, whoever that is.....It's probably a virus.......either that, or I've been contacted by the Chosen One. From robertlavelle@cs.net To robertlavelle@cs.net Subject I DEMAND ! Date Tue, 5 Feb 2002 11:50:10 -0500 (EST) I demand total and perfect happiness for every man woman and child, Forever and ever and ever and ever. To achieve that I need everyone to understand that space ends, space does not go on forever, it ends. The big difference between space ending or not ending is if space does not end then space does not have a shape but once you understand that space ends then space can take a shape and that shape can move. Then I need to talk to everyone three times half hour each time at the end of the third half hour the rapture shall occur and everyone shall be taken to heaven. Robert Lavelle OK Robert....thanks for the heads up. Friday, February 01, 2002
I'm headed home this weekend, so I think I'll offer my Superbowl Synopsis now.....keep in mind that I was 8-2 picking the playoffs this year.....
As I said on my radio show last night, wouldn't it be great if the Patriots pulled this one out? This season in the NFL has been the Year of the Upset, and you always have to root for the underdog when they are playing a superpower like the Rams who are favored to beat them by two touchdowns. And with all thats happened this year in our country, all the "patriotism" (pun intended) and the flag-waving at NFL games, and even that Americanized Superbowl logo they came up with....it would be only fitting for the underdog Patriots to pull this one out. But I'm sorry folks, I just can't see it happening. The Rams are just too stacked with talent, they are not the Raiders or the Steelers, they are a team that won the big game two years ago, and could have won last year. Their speed on the turf is going to cause New England problems, and I hardly think they'll be able to shut down Player of the Year Marshall Faulk the way they did the Bus and the rest of the Steelers runners. But don't count the Pats out, they could make this one interesting, at least I'm hoping, and not an early blowout like we've seen in years past (cough, cough, Giants....sad to say). I expect Tom Brady to put up quite a fight and Bill Bellichik will come up with a tough defensive scheme, hopefully we'll see Kurt Warner get roughed up a little bit too. If you're playing the points game, go with the Pats.....they were 14 point underdogs last time they were in the Superbowl and they almost covered against the Packers, they lost by 14 points. This weekend's final score?..... Rams 35, Pats 28 Enjoy your Superbowl Weekend everybody, I'll catch up with you next week. |
