I strongly suggest you check out the following albums......they all have a good chance at being on my annual list of the year's best cd's.......
Soulfly - 3 (outstanding....their best yet?) Rush - Vapor Trails (surprisingly heavy, believe it or not...give it a listen) Blackalicious - Blazing Arrow (just excellent) And now some songs: 1. Judas Priest - "The Ripper" 2. Judas Priest - "Epitaph" 3. Blackalicious - "Chemical Calisthetics" 4. Soulfly - "Enterfaith" 5. Soulfly - "Tree of Pain" 6. Rush - "Earthshine" 7. E Town Concrete - "A Father's Marathon" 8. Dr. Dre f. Snoop Dogg - "Deep Cover" 9. Iron Maiden - "Only the Good Die Young" 10. Beatles - "Hello Goodbye" Friday, June 14, 2002
I just scored tickets to two concerts.............DOWN on July 14th at Birch Hill and SLAYER/SOULFLY/IN FLAMES on August 15th at the Electric Factory........man I'm psyched.
I love Meghan Greene. Forget Lorraine. Meg's the way to go Wednesday, June 12, 2002
Man I met the craziest old lady today at work.......first she was complainin about the prices of our bikes, sayin everybody in NJ is either a criminal ripping her off or just stupid, and she wanted to move back to Manhattan.......she said everybody around here is low-class and uneducated and she hates living here and all this BS, I just kinda played along with her........then she started telling me how her phones are tapped, because she calls only high-class establishments and she hears low-class voices on the other end.....and there's a tracking device in her car and whatnot........oh, and dont get her started about men, she hates the men around here, she only dates men who look like Hugh Grant (keep in mind that shes at least 65 years old).........yup, just another day at the bike shop...... A big shout out to the flock of birds who decided to wake me up at 4 in the a.m.......you little bitches.
Hockey this saturday at sayen ELEMENTARY school.......hopefully this time it wont fall through. Look for my Athlete of the Week story in Tuesday's Trentonian. Sign my guestbook dammit. Thanks to those who took the time to sign, and a special shoutout to my old buddy Nick DeStefano. Later. Thursday, June 06, 2002
Today while playing Snake (level 9) on my cell phone I scored a 729, obliterating my previous personal-best of 531. Go me.
Those tennis players from Princeton lost today, so I'm done covering that......had some fun though despite the long drives, hats off to them, they had a great season. That's it. Wednesday, June 05, 2002
For the past two days my life has been consumed by tennis........thats right, I'm covering this doubles team from Princeton High, they're playing in the state tournament......yesterday and today I had to venture up to Edison, NJ, knowing next to nothing about tennis and having to write stories......they came out decent though, I'm starting to dig this tennis stuff. The kids are pretty good too, tomorrow if they win they'll be state champs, pretty impressive.
Hey get this, my girlfriend Jen is headed to Seaside tomorrow because she won a contest on the radio to meet MTV personality/ultra-tool Carson Daly......its pretty sweet, she might get to be on tv and everything, hopefully he won't steal her away though, I heard he's got a thing for blondes.......I'll have more on that later. Today on the NJ Turnpike I saw the freakiest thing, there was a stuffed Pluto doll in the middle of the highway, it was kinda ripped up too, man it was weird. Music: 1. Testament - "Demonic Refusal" 2. Outkast - "Land of a Million Drums" 3. Superjoint Ritual - "It Takes No Guts" 4. Cee-Lo Green - "Gettin' Grown" 5. Red Hot Chili Peppers - "I Could Have Lied" 6. David Bowie - "Space Oddity" 7. Dio - "Push" 8. Billy Joel - "Angry Young Man" 9. Dimmu Borgir - "In Death's Embrace" 10. Nirvana - "Verse Chorus Verse" Tuesday, June 04, 2002
Just got back from the Yankees game in NY........they lost to the Baltimore Whorioles 4-3, Mariano Rivera let them break open a 3-3 tie in the 9th......I dunno what happened to that guy since the World Series last year, he's just not a superman anymore......but anyway the game was entertaining at least, rookie sensation Nick Johnson had a solo homer and our seats were pretty swell. I also got to see Memorial Park for the first time, man that was pretty cool, seeing all the plaques of great Yankees past........alright I need my beauty sleep, peace. Monday, June 03, 2002
I've added a guestbook to my site so you better all leave a message. Alright later, its off to the DMV to get my car inspected, this should be fun...... Sunday, June 02, 2002
CORRECTION: The May 31st post of Jay's World referred to the location for the Sayen Cup street hockey game as Sayen MIDDLE School. Sayen is an ELEMENTARY school. We apologize for any inconvenience....you nit-pickers.
Speaking of hockey, didn't really get to play yesterday.....my pals won their game in blowout fashion and survived some whining antics from their opponents, and after that they took their equipment and went home to mom. Oh well, I'm just waiting for the next Sayen Cup draft so I can get in on the next series. Yesterday was a fun-filled day none the less.......first Jen and I went to see the Ringling Bros. Circus at the Sovereign Bank Arena and had a pretty fun time, even though it was pretty much a few thousand toddlers and parents and then us. But it was a good show, perhaps even the greatest show on earth........Crazy Wilson really stole the show with his death-defying summersaults on the spinning wheel of death. That and the elephant that took a crap. Then later we had a picnic/bbq/party blowout at Jen's house, thanks to all who showed up, it was a pretty good time. I made my cooking debut and I have to say the burgers and dogs came out excellent. Maybe we'll have another one soon since we have mad leftovers. |
