Make sure you have your parents check any strange candy that you get tonight ... and be sure to listen to my radio show tonight, it begins at the witching hour, 12 midnight, I've got all kinds of cool tunes lined up, it'll be the perfect soundtrack to your keggers and/or satanic sacrifices...

I'm instituting a new feature for Jay's World, its called Jay's Ass of the Week award, it probably won't come out every week, but essentially its given to the person who makes the biggest ass of him or herself each week. I'm gonna open it up to a public vote, so let me know who you think deserves the honor... (keep in mind I have the power to veto it)....Here are this week's nominees:

A) Penn State quarterback Zack Mills for having the worst game of his career when the Nittany Lions played No. 4 Ohio State

B) New York Giants rookie fullback Charles Stackhouse, for carrying the football in the wrong hand at the 1-yard line and subsequently fumbling the ball out of the end zone for a touchback in the Giants' loss to the Eagles Monday

C) Philadelphia Eagles defensive back Brian Dawkins for unleashing a dirty hit on Giants receiver Ike Hilliard, ending his season

Votes will be tallied soon.

Big weekend coming up, first on Thursday night I've got my radio show, a special Halloween edition of the Metal Machine from 12 to 3 am, you dont want to miss it.....

Then Friday is the big TOOL/Meshuggah concert with Al and Matt, its gonna be awesome..........

The fun continues Saturday with the Penn State/Illinois clash at 3:30, followed by The Rick's Halloween party that evening, I can't wait......my costume is a secret, you'll have to wait to find out....

Oh and somewhere in there I've got to finish an 8-page philosophy paper......guess I should get started on that.

Well my football teams went 1-1 yesterday....first, my team won in the collegian game...it wasn't really sports vs. news since there weren't as many people, we had to just pick teams there.......the field was quite muddy, it was cool though, just not suited to my style of play, it was pretty much a pass-oriented game. As you may or may not know, i can't really catch....although I had a couple receptions, but I dropped a few also, and on defense there wasn't too much tackling either, that was a bummer. The game went to OT, we scored on our first possession and then we had a valiant defensive stop, complete with an interception by this kid Fink (the game MVP) to seal the deal. Can't wait till the next game...

The second game was a different story as Penn State fell to No. 4 Ohio State, 13-7......the defense played pretty damn well, holding them to just 13 points...in the beginning of the game it looked like we'd have a chance to pull it out, they lost their all star running back Maurice Clarett early on.........but our offense, especially QB Zack Mills, didn't look so hot....Mills threw 3 interceptions on the day, and nearly had three more, it was probably the worst game of his career........we had one last shot at the end of the game, we were trying to start a drive from like our 25 yard line with about two minutes left but couldn't get anything going, then on fourth down WR Bryant Johnson got tackled as Mills threw him a pass, clearly it should have been a penalty but no flag was thrown........the Big Ten officials are really screwing us this year. But its not an excuse because we shouldn't have been in that situation to begin with.....oh well, PSU can still win out, finish 9-3 and go to a decent bowl game, but a win over OSU would have really earned us some respect.

Hey how bout this hostage thing in Moscow, they say that like 116 hostages died because the Russian police used some mysterious nerve gas that was intended to kill the hostage-takers......sounds a little shady to me. Crazy stuff.

Two huge football games tomorrow, first a collegian tackle football contest at noon (in the mud, oh yeah), then the big Penn State/Ohio State clash at 3:30 on ABC........it will be an awesome day, I better rest up.

Well, I'm 22 now......

Yes, today is my birthday, and I have to say I feel like an old, old man.

It was a good birthday though, over the weekend my bro gave me Lord of the Rings on DVD, and jen baked me a cake and gave me this awesome Sesame Street electric guitar (trust me, it's cool).....special thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes....

Good weekend too, I think my family enjoyed the football game despite the crappy weather.........I know I did, Penn State won 49-0....half of my prediction was almost dead on, at least partly (scroll down), Northwestern just didnt put up much of a fight as I thought they would...Larry Johnson finished with nearly 260 rushing yards to set a Penn State single game rushing record, pretty awesome. The true test will be next week when Penn State travels to Columbus to take on the No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes......its the kind of game that could show PSU is for real and this season isn't a fluke........but on the positive side, even if they lose, the rest of their schedule is cake so they could easily finish 9-3 and go to a decent bowl, I'd say that'd be a huge improvement over the last two seasons....

Check out Jen's updated web site, shes got some hot pictures on there from our crazy PSU weekends and our trip to NYC over fall break, give them a look...

Oh and check this out, so the other day me and Jen were watching TV and I happened to come across this old episode of the A-Team that featured a wrestling match between Hulk Hogan and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, it was classic......Mr. T was even dressed in full Hulkamania regalia (yellow bandana, ripped red hulkamania t-shirt, etc), it was outstanding.

I'm in the process of trying to plan another Collegian football game for this Saturday since the PSU away game starts at 3:30....this time the News division may be a little short of players, so we're going to institute a draft, The Rick and I are co-captains of one team and there is another pair of captains from News.....hopefully it will go well, we're working on some draft day strategies and whatnot....I'm expecting a nice little violent get-together, should be cool....

I just wanna quickly plug my radio show in two weeks.....it just happens to fall on Halloween, so I'll be doing a very special Halloween Edition of the Metal Machine, its gonna be awesome, expect to hear some very special hand-picked tunes and maybe even a special guest or two.....that reminds me, if anyone has any suggestions for some halloween-related metal tunes that I could play, give me a holla.......

I'll leave you with this little nugget, taken from some chat thing on ESPN.com...

Mike (Atlanta, GA): Why is Air Force a legitimate college football program with a high quality team, and the other military acadamies (Army & Navy) struggle to score, let alone be competitive?

Trev Alberts: I think first and foremost, if you think about it, if you have intentions of going to a service academy, Air Force is sexier. It's a sexier type place. That being said, the stability they have with DeBerry is one of the main reasons.

Well we're in the midst of Homecoming weekend here.......enjoyed the parade earlier, now I'm ready to see the Lions whip up on Northwestern, my prediction: PSU 45, Wildcats 28, we'll see....

The Bartolones are coming up for their first Penn State game, should be a good time, they'll get to experience the Beaver Stadium magic firsthand.....that being said, I'm goin to sleep since they'll be here at the ungodly hour of 9 am (or earlier) tomorrow.....

Long time no posts.........

First off, happy belated birthday to Mr. Alan "Al-Dawg" Gromest, who turned 22 over the weekend..........you old fart! (Even though I'll be 22 in five days.....)

Just returned to PSU last night after a nice Fall Break......had an early birthday celebration with the Zak and Bartolone families, got some early birthday presents (some clothes, $, Simpsons Season 2 DVD from my aunt and a phat watch from Jen, thank you all)....went to NYC with Jen and the fam to see Ground Zero and grab some real NYC eye-talian grub at this place called Carmine's......watched PSU football lose again to Michigan (booo!).....all in all, a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of college life, now it's back to the grind for a few days before my family comes up here to check out the homecoming game against Northwestern, should be good times.

Thoughts of a distraught Yankees fan...

OK ok so it's over, we lost, big deal. I guess you can't win em all, the Angels are a good club, better than most people knew, and they just outplayed us, our pitchers didn't get the job done. Still, it seems pretty weird, especially after last year, I'm just so used to them winning championships. Oh well.....I guess it's just more fuel for all the Yankee-haters out there, but you can suck it honestly, unless you're an Angels fan (I've never met one in my life) you got no reason to talk.......especially if you're a Phillies fan, give me a break because you haven't won shit. 26 world championships and counting....

They'll be back next year with a vengeance, probably only a few minor improvements because they were pretty stacked to begin with and had a hell of a season, it'll just be a matter of working on that chemistry...I mean the team was pretty overhauled from the previous season, next year everything should come together nicely...

Penn State's win against Wisconsin was able to salvage my weekend, they had a pretty good showing against the Badgers and their 34-31 victory catapulted them to No. 15 and No. 17 in the rankings. Big one this weekend on the road against Michigan but if they can pull it out I think we'll be Bowl-bound..........anyone up for a road trip?

Fall Break countdown: 4 days!

Well, its over...

SPORTS vs. NEWS II - "RUMBLE IN THE FLOWER GARDENS"

Final Score - Sports 14, News 7!!!!

It was a hell of a battle....some trash talking, some ethnic slurs, some heavily disputed calls, a few hot-heads, and a couple dirty hits, but really great play all around until a few girls got hurt and we had to call it a game (god they ruin everything, jk jk).....News did an admirable job, hats off to them, but the sports staff made some great plays, too many to name really, so the game ball goes to everyone on our team. There's talk of a final rematch, either in a few weeks when PSU is away again, or after the college football season is over so we can have a game in the snow, but we'll see, I have a feeling a lot of people will drop out and we'll end up bowling or playing trivial pursuit to settle this grudge.

Now all we need is a PSU win over Wisconsin this afternoon and a Yankees victory to extend the series with the Angels......followed by a Giants win tomorrow.

Go State Go Yanks Go Big Blue

The magic is back.......

Yankees beat the Angels last night, 8-5, in the ALDS opener.....they were actually down 5-4 before Jason Giambi tied the game in the eighth with an RBI single and Bernie Williams later followed with a three-run homer. It was pretty rad.........they return to action tonight when Jen's man Andy Pettitte will take the mound against Kevin Appier........LETS GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!!

I just wanna give a shoutout to Jen Zak, workin like crazy on her studies...........love ya :)

Read this:

JayBart2: man i just saw the shadiest thing, this like trolley/bus thing, rice a roni style, but it was painted all blue with the PSU school logo on the side, drivin down the street, it was full of these asian businessmen in suits, god it was weird

Auto response from Mik0138: around....

JayBart2: it seemed like itd somehow be involved in a mentos commercial, id be tryin to catch up with my gf in a crowded street but i couldnt get around all the students so id eat a mentos and then hitch a ride on the back of this trolley, then all the asian businessmen would pull out their mentos and give me a thumbs up
JayBart2: i think im losin it, later

later....

Mik0138: hahah, no your not losin it that was a clutch and appropriate mentos/asian business men/trolley connection

Auto response from JayBart2: @ work, I heard there's going to be iced cream

Mik0138: only you and i could associate three seemingly unassociable objects in time and space

Mik0138 signed off at 10:57:39 PM.
Mik0138 signed on at 11:02:12 PM.
Mik0138 signed off at 11:26:08 PM.
Mik0138 signed on at 11:27:59 PM.

Much later.....
JayBart2: hah you liked my mentos commercial eh
Mik0138: yes, i did.
JayBart2: excellent
JayBart2: whats up son?
Mik0138: what did you did to those business men......WHAT DID YOU DOOOOOOO!!!
JayBart2: haha
Mik0138: its like a scene out of a thriller movie, i'd be the old decetive nick nolte type and you'd be some kinda psycho toying with me
Mik0138: and just the way you said excellent made me think i was playing right into your game
JayBart2: hahah, meanwhile id have them tied up to a bomb in an abandoned warehouse
Mik0138: well naturally
Mik0138: you' sonofabitch
JayBart2: mwahahahahahaha
JayBart2: as i escape in a helicopter
Mik0138: exterior shot from your point of veiw of whare house blowing up
JayBart2: you: noooooooooooooooooo
JayBart2: then you wake up in a cold sweat
Mik0138: then shown 3 more times at different angles the same explosion the last shot of me running toward and gettin blown back
JayBart2: because that was 10 years ago....before you left the force
JayBart2: hahah
Mik0138: hah, those poor poor aisans
JayBart2: well at least one of their hot asian daughters played by lucy liu recruited you to avenge their deaths
Mik0138: hah, but i'd be so old and outta shape
JayBart2: therein lies the conflict
JayBart2: if you dont help her.....she'll exact revenge on her own
Mik0138: but whats this...a mix up at the foster care agency and i get sent a pluckey young black boy named dareese...from then on the flood gates of comedy open...and boy howdy, noah couldn't even escape this flood, (cue james brown "i feel good" with scenes of an old grizzled nolte working out as dareese manages him)
JayBart2: dareese puts on some rap music to lift weights and nolte starts bobbing his head (cue record scratch) dareese: "oh no he didnt!"
Mik0138: ....they bond
JayBart2: dareese with tears in his eyes: "i never knew my biologcial...youre the only father ive got now"
Mik0138: man, i'm sorry i think thats what this nation needs, a nick nolte thriller dectective interational tale of intrigue/surrogate father to a black kid film, i mean i think thats one of the only things that will heal this troubled nation, in its weakest hour
Mik0138: hahah, i never knew my biological
JayBart2: dennis hopper as the crazed villain: youre only mad because you couldnt save them....mwahahahaha
Mik0138: haaaaahaha
Mik0138: at the end scene dareese would some how save nolte, and say somethin to hopper to teh effect of "you crazy mister"
JayBart2: not to mention lucy liu in a strong female role, theyre bringing the world closer together one ass-kicking at a time
JayBart2: thats the tag line
Mik0138: hahaha, minus the lucy lui part, its gold
JayBart2: hah alright alright, i just think this is the role that could put her on the map
Mik0138: "They're bringing the world closer...one ass-kicking at a time"
JayBart2: its the perfect lucy liu vehicle
Mik0138: oh well yeah
Mik0138: its a comedy/thriller/comming of age/overcomming racial barriers/father and black son kinda story, and i think thats what sells in hollywood, no i'm pretty sure
Mik0138: thats what sells

The big football rematch is set for Saturday at 12 at the IM fields near the flower gardens, its SPORTS VS. NEWS II - "RUMBLE IN THE FLOWER GARDENS".......a lot of trash talking going on from the Collegian's news division since their 21-7 win a few weeks ago........this time we'll be prepared, offensive coordinator The Rick is devising a potent mix of offensive styles (not unlike the PSU football team) that should put plenty of points on the board, meanwhile I as defensive coordinator am putting together a defensive scheme that will have News scratching their heads and icing the rest of their bodies....we're even practicing on Friday to prepare, probably do a little conditioning and run through some plays (yeah right)........but this one's gonna be intense.
